The HIVE remotely monitors patients from a central Command Centre at Royal Perth Hospital, using an Integrated Care Management System which uses powerful new technologies and artificial intelligence predict when a patient is at risk of clinical deterioration. The service is the first of its kind in WA.

The introduction of this unique technology and model of care presents research opportunities in WA. EMHS is seeking opportunities to collaborate with health services, universities, and research institutes to conduct research and evaluation projects in the following areas:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Big Data
  • Change Management
  • Clinical Studies
  • Data Science and Data Analytics
  • Digital Age and the Workplace
  • Future Way of Working
  • Health Economics
  • Healthcare

  • Organisational Behavioural and Psychology.

The HIVE team encourages those interested in collaborating on a research project to contact them.
