Research interests and focus
Royal Perth Hospital Cardiology Research supports industry (commercial companies), Grant funded (Investigator initiated) and Local academic students (PhD and Masters) in their research projects.
The focus areas for RPH Cardiology research extends across disease burden (e.g., heart attacks), structural problems (e.g., heart valves) and heart rhythm problems. Research interests also include genetic diseases, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and new equipment (e.g., pacemakers, defibrillators).
