EMHS welcomes AKG graduates
The latest EMHS nursing and midwifery graduates started their new career at Armadale Hospital this week.
The 36 graduates were welcomed with trademark Armadale Kalamunda Group kindness and compassion.
EMHS Chief executive Liz MacLeod said the organisation was continuing to prioritise staff recruitment.
“I’m pleased to say that almost 600 nurses and midwives have accepted jobs in the past six months alone,” Liz said.
Edith Cowan University graduate Shania Bannister said she was thrilled to have been accepted into the program and relished the opportunity to “give back” to a profession which really helped her nanna when she was ill.
“My dear nanna had cancer and the nurses were so wonderful,” Shaina said.
“They really made a difference – during a very hard time.”
She said she was looking forward to expanding on her skillset which as a graduate, was quite limited.
