RPH Vascular Surgery Research supports investigator-initiated projects, as well as industry funded trials and dedicated to scientific discovery and their application to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of vascular diseases. 

Research interests and focus 

RPH Vascular Surgery collaborates with experts in other departments, as well as industry to help solve complex problems and promote a shared vision of better health and surgical solutions. Our current research areas of interest include: 

  • The atherosclerotic process from aetiology to treatment 
  • Performance of firs-in-man trials 
  • Quality and process improvement 

Example projects 

Elevated lipoprotein (a) may contribute to the development and progression of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and impact the clinical outcomes of patients following endovascular intervention.
