Congratulations to the Centre for Wellbeing and Sustainable Practice
Congratulations to Royal Perth Hospital’s Rich Read, Michael Hertz and the Centre for Wellbeing and Sustainable Practice (CWSP) team who were announced as a winner of the 2019 Best of Care Award – Outstanding Team, at the Spiritual Care Australia Conference Dinner last week.
The award acknowledges and celebrates best practice and excellence in the provision of Spiritual Care, and helps to raise awareness of best practice in the sector.
The CWSP team were judged on the contribution made in the workplace setting; how they demonstrate excellence or innovation in spiritual care practice; the contribution to building strong and effective teams; and feedback from consumers and the organisation.
Spiritual Care practitioners, like those in the CWSP team, play a significant role in providing quality holistic care in our organisation and the local community.
The CWSP was officially launched in February 2019, and combines innovative work in areas of staff wellbeing and research with the provision of high quality pastoral care and education. The Centre and its staff are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of clinicians and support staff through tailored training and education programs, and to delivering compassionate pastoral care for patients and families.
This is a fantastic achievement, one that recognises the incredible work and commitment of Rich, Michael and the team, and their contribution to health and spiritual care.
The CWSP also welcomes Nicola Frew (pictured) who has joined the team as a Wellbeing Officer and accepted the award on the team's behalf.
Well done to the Centre for Wellbeing and Sustainable Practice team.
