RPH and Bentley Health Service Redevelopments
Both Royal Perth Hospital and the Bentley Health Service are undergoing major redevelopments, which will offer even greater health care and services to West Australians.
Construction works have officially commenced on the $807.3 million Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Project.
This major redevelopment will deliver additional treatment spaces, increased bed capacity and improved patient flow, strengthening the hospital's ability to provide world-class trauma and emergency care as demand continues to grow.
Importantly, the Emergency Department will remain fully operational throughout construction, ensuring patients continue to receive uninterrupted emergency care while the project is underway.
The expansion is being delivered with support from the Cook Government's $2 billion Building Hospitals Fund and represents a significant investment in Western Australia's public health system.
Once complete, the project will enhance Royal Perth Hospital's capacity to meet the healthcare needs of the community for years to come.

Meanwhile, a $167 million Bentley Health Service Surgicentre will soon undergo construction.
The Bentley Surgicentre will be a purpose-built facility and will include:
- six surgical theatres;
- two procedure rooms;
- a 24-bed surgical ward; and
- a new central sterilisation services department.
Purpose-designed to separate elective surgery from emergency procedures, the facility will improve patient flow, help reduce wait times and ease pressure on surrounding hospitals, allowing more patients to receive timely care.
