EMHS Aboriginal Mental Health Research Scholarship

EMHS is offering a ‘top up’ scholarship to support an Aboriginal Master of Research or PhD candidate who is conducting research into Aboriginal mental health.
- For a successful PhD applicant, the scholarship will be up to $60,000 (tax exempt) over three years full-time, with a maximum payable rate of $20,000 per annum.
- For a successful Master of Research applicant, the scholarship will be up to $15,000 per annum for two years ($30,000).
Applicants must be enrolled in the first year of, or be applying to, a full-time PhD program or in a Master of Research course at a WA University.
The research project must relate to the provision of mental health services to Aboriginal people in a hospital or community setting, preferably within EMHS, and be able to commence in 2022.
Selection will be based on academic excellence and alignment with EMHS objectives and identified areas of clinical need relating to Aboriginal mental health.
