Royal Perth Hospital’s Dr Daniel Hunt has received a prestigious WA Day Award in the ‘Professions’ category, for his outstanding national leadership across Aboriginal health and infectious disease control.

Dr Hunt’s incredible advocacy for vulnerable populations now sees him leading the RPH Homeless Medicine Team, which connects homeless people who present to the Emergency Department with vital external services - helping to reduce readmissions.

East Metropolitan Health Service congratulates Dr Hunt for his leadership and thanks him for the enormous value he brings to RPH.

Watch the video below as Dr Hunt speaks about what drives him every day.

Congratulations again Dr Hunt. We are so proud of you!
